January 16, 2017

T-Mobile UK’s managing director, Jim Hyde, has announced his resignation, effective the end of March.

Hyde is leaving to take up a post in his native USA as president and chief executive of US telecoms operator NTELOS.

It is not yet known who will replace him.

Before moving to T-Mobile UK in 2006, Hyde held a number of senior positions at T-Mobile USA, including vice president of sales and operations.

Hyde’s T-Mobile career spans a total of 12 years.

Hamid Akhavan, CEO of T-Mobile International, said the company is sorry to see Hyde leave after his many years of service.

He added that T-Mobile International wishes Hyde every success in his future career.

T-Mobile UK is also seeking a new director of marketing following the recent departure of Phil Chapman.
